You write yourself across the page. The words arrange themselves into surprises, despite your sense of control over them. The writing becomes mirror of the soul, until, yes, even you, begin to see yourself clearly.
They are reflective, these words, showing soul and heart unhidden by physical appearance.
Look at your soul splayed across the page in letters aligned, marching to your heart, longing for you to see how lovely you are.
Words reflecting the self in ways a mirror never could.

Do You Hear?
Sometimes when I am alone
my monkey-mind uttering crazy talk,
I whisper muddled prayers
to God to keep me company
And God does not seem
to care these muddled
prayers are but a string of words
Content, shape, context, and grammar
seem to float by Him
Until He hears that which is
most dear to me
Spoken by my heart no matter
how broken and tired my
tongue and mind may be
The God within Me
awakens with even the
slightest knock of prayerful syllables
Granting me peace, love, and joy
in return for my few, muddled words.
And suddenly, I remember
it is not only me and my monkey-
A prayer-full of Heaven
exists within me and I am
never without company.

Let Your Words…
During this day, let your words fall loving upon you. Cascade yourself with words of love, kindness, compassion, awareness, and truth. Shut your eyes, and let the words fall upon you. Speak gently and kindly in your own direction. And allow, the rest of the world, for once, to take of itself, while you take care of your self.
