How do you color the distance-
between what is and what your heart desires?
I have been thinking lately about the distance between what is and what we desire.
To have such desires is perfectly normal.
I think, though, that we choose how we want to color the distance between these two states.
Do we see what we desire (but currently do not have) and color it with anger, disappointment, or jealousy? Or do we color the distance with peace and understanding, holding the space between “not now” and “maybe when”.
I think how we color this distance says a lot about our approach to life.
