I think some people are so hard on themselves that they end up treating themselves more poorly than even an “enemy” might.
Such individuals take on all colors of self-created blame, shame, guilt, and sense of failing.
Being too hard on yourself is not a route to improvement.
Being too hard on yourself can simply be a compulsive act continuing to perpetuate the myth that you are not “good enough”.
Healing does not occur through compulsion. It occurs through awareness.
