Envy of the Bird

Envy of the Birds

Envy of the Birds

I do not envy the bird its ability to fly.
I do envy its lofty perspective of life.

when i see birds fly, I often wonder what it would be like to see life from such a vantage point- the broad perspective and sweeping distance? How would I be different with this view at my means?

      • Thank you Kimberly – I’ve been pondering changing it ? Even the name. Wondering if the word “spirit” is too often confused with religion ?

      • I forgot I did not respond to this- I love your name (to me it has always represented the light- hearted side of Spirit) and your images/color go so in line with your name. It speaks of “joy” to me.

      • Thanks Kimberly ~ maybe i’ll keep it ? I wish to put up some nice travel pieces. I hope people know I embrace all beliefs … so wondered if the word spirit was appropriate πŸ˜€

  1. I would love to be a swallow, they way they swoop, dart and glide. It looks like such fun. Of course, they are trying to eat as many insects as they can just to stay alive and probably aren’t thinking “fun” at all. We humans interpret what we see through our own lens.

  2. You know, sometimes I’m driving and I see a flock of birds, usually crows or ravens I’m sure, but they are all black, and flying in a circular pattern, and I think – I bet they are scavenging a dead body!! And, I’m always slightly disappointed when I discover they aren’t.

Apparently I watch too much TV πŸ™‚
