I have always wondered with a “wounded” or “broken’ Heart which has truly been more injured- the Heart or one’s sense of self, attached to the Mind.
In this picture, I drew a Heart with a wound, but the Heart continues to look strong. And I think this is how our Hearts operate in life. We may feel wounded, we may believe we have been injured, but that is all in our minds.
If there is one part of us that truly operates in the present moment and the full belief in potential and wholeness, it our never failing Hearts.
This is my experience too. ā¤
I am so glad it resonated with you š

Beautiful artwork as always.
I like your work. Great subject. Hugs, Barbara
I love that! I think you’re onto something. Much of our own wounding is self inflicted and has a lot to do with how we perceive events. Not always of course, sometimes we are simply the bug on somebody’s windshield, but even in that, how our brains decide to process the experience has a whole lot to do with how broken our hearts feel.
A very inspiring idea, and … feeling! Thank you !
Really like this one. I think you’ve captured a broken heart perfectly.
hearts are wounded, in as much as the hormones can change – this often happens when people are very lonely over a long period of time, causing the heart to re-act – I wish i could give you the facts, but i no longer have the website dealing with the subject. thanks Eve
Love it! And honestly, it took me a minute before I even noticed the heart was hurting, which I think falls in line with your feelings behind the piece of art, we keep going even when our heart hurts! Our heart is always fully with us!
Yes! that was my message. The heart literally keeps beating, even when we think it is so injured that it can’t carry on.
Good point, but why do we FEEL the pain in our heart? Grief is a mystery.
I know. Grief can really affect us to the core.
