The Heart Thrives while the Mind Surmises

Thriving

Thriving

I have always wondered with a “wounded” or “broken’ Heart which has truly been more injured- the Heart or one’s sense of self, attached to the Mind.

In this picture, I drew a Heart with a wound, but the Heart continues to look strong. And I think this is how our Hearts operate in life. We may feel wounded, we may believe we have been injured, but that is all in our minds.

If there is one part of us that truly operates in the present moment and the full belief in potential and wholeness, it our never failing Hearts.

  1. I love that! I think you’re onto something. Much of our own wounding is self inflicted and has a lot to do with how we perceive events. Not always of course, sometimes we are simply the bug on somebody’s windshield, but even in that, how our brains decide to process the experience has a whole lot to do with how broken our hearts feel.

  2. hearts are wounded, in as much as the hormones can change – this often happens when people are very lonely over a long period of time, causing the heart to re-act – I wish i could give you the facts, but i no longer have the website dealing with the subject. thanks Eve
