How I see my Stepdaughter

Internal Compass

I was going to write a different post today, but decided to share some love instead. This picture is how I see my stepdaughter. It’s called “Internal Compass” because that is how I see her. She is just one of those kids, you know, who has a strong internal compass.

I continue to see her learn, grow, process, and so much of this she does on her own. I picture her with a little compass needle inside, whispering, “This is where I want to head in life, and I am going to do it.”

As we know, not everyone is blessed with such internal strength and awareness.

I never want to take this skill in her for granted, nor her wonderful spirit. Every stepmom or parent should be as lucky as I to have a child like this in their life.

I am thinking of her this a.m., hoping she has a wonderful day.
