Resolutions and the Hunger for Growth and Transformation
*Although I don’t mind writing about the wacky world of narcissism, I don’t like the energy of narcissism to remain on my site for long. So, I want to place a posting of a different energy here to end the day:)
Contained UrgesIf the gate
Were left open
Would you step through?
Or
Stop to imagine the latch in place?
What beckons within
Nameless, formless
Not without hunger
Lurches out, if we do not work to contain
Finding sustenance – external
Groping rawness, broken, bodiless
Latched hunger
Gnawing to feed
At the turn of this New Year, so many set resolutions, goals for the coming year. What we are doing is setting the stage for our own transformation and growth. It’s exciting to bring this into consciousness. To enter a passage of transformation, consciously, is not an adventure easily undertaken. We tend to enjoy the status quo, the creation of our own making. The New Year, however, pushes us towards a different direction.
The hunger for growth and transformation is present within each of us. We must be brave enough to be open to the energy of change. When confronted with transformation, do you lock the gate or simply imagine the latch in place? To become mired in one’s own way, blocking the passageway, only results in the hunger seeking satiation elsewhere. Follow your dreams. Use your hunger for growth and change. Imagine a better world and your place in it and step through that gate.

Thank you Kim
